Minister of Defense Oleksii Reznikov during the online conference “Building Together” said that Ukraine is interested in the construction of repair bases for Western equipment and cartridge works.

He noted that Ukraine has received a large number of the newesr weapons, which has to be serviced. Therefore, the state is considering the possibility to create joint ventures for maintaining equipment located both in Eastern Europe and in Western Ukraine.

“Today it is a huge landfill, which holded trials. And this means that technological things, innovative solutions and supply will be in demand here. Therefore, the formation of joint ventures, even if they will be placed at first in the countries of Eastern Europe, but for Ukraine, let them be placed on the territory of Western Ukraine in protected places, but this is now a real request,” – said the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksii Reznikov.

He stressed that there is an “inexhaustible list” of everything related to increasing the defense capability of Ukraine. This should encourage the security and defense sector as well as business investment.

“The creation of bases for the maintenance of spare parts, various components for equipment and even a cartridge works is relevant,” he said.

Oleksii Reznikov said that currently up to 700 thousand soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 90 thousand – to the National Guard, 100 thousand – the National Police and 60 thousand border guards due mobilization are serving the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

Thus, more than 1 million people provide the defense and security sector activities.

Recall that volunteers purchased six modern mobile stations for the repair of American SUVs HMMWW, which are used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In addition, it is known that Slovakia, Czech Republic and Bulgaria have already helped with the repair and modernization of the Ukrainian equipment.
