Ukrainian company ROBONEERS has introduced a new remotely controlled combat module designed to support infantry operations in close combat.
The company shared the announcement with Militarnyi.
The module, named SHABLYA K-2, is equipped with paired 5.45 mm Kalashnikov AK-74 rifles. According to the developers, this configuration provides reliable fire support for infantry and effective suppression of targets at short range.
The control system allows the operator to select the firing mode depending on the tactical situation: firing from the left or right rifle, or simultaneously from both. Based on published images, the system uses standard 30-round magazines.
The turret can be integrated into a unified network of a ground platform, ensuring stable communication with the control unit and real-time data transmission.
The power system includes a built-in backup source and the option to operate from a ground robotic platform or an external battery with a voltage of 20 to 60 V.
The SHABLYA K-2 is equipped with a surveillance system that includes three cameras: a wide-angle daytime camera for situational awareness, a narrow-angle daytime camera for targeting, and a thermal imager for night operations and low-visibility conditions.
The module is currently being prepared for codification, which would enable its supply to the units of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.
At the end of February, it was reported that ROBONEERS, Latvian underwater technology manufacturer SUBmerge Baltic, and Latvian company Baltic Forces signed a cooperation memorandum.
The partnership involves combining ROBONEERS engineering solutions with SUBmerge Baltic’s expertise in underwater and specialized systems.
