Ukrainian company Unwave has introduced a new PATELNIA-2K/3K electronic warfare system.
The manufacturer reported that the system is designed to combat drones that drop explosive devices on infantry.
The device is placed in a MOLLE-type backpack, and the antenna can be controlled with one hand.
The electronic warfare system is a powerful source of electromagnetic radiation in a limited but wide frequency range. The radiation typically covers a 360-degree area.
According to numerous frontline reports, soldiers have been complaining about worsening health conditions: nausea, headaches, fatigue, and dizziness. Even more dangerous are the disruptions in cognitive functions: the electromagnetic field negatively affects brain activity, reducing attention span, reaction speed, and memory.
To reduce the harmful impact on the soldier, Unwave has added a special shielding hood for the operator to the system.
The system is also equipped with a remote control panel, allowing it to be operated from a safe shelter.
The PATELNIA-2K/3K can be installed on the ground, as it is equipped with a dual-leg support.
Declared specifications:
The infantry EW system can save lives and provide an advantage during assaults by complicating the work of enemy drones. Its main advantages are mobility and rapid deployment without the need for special transportation.
Such systems are now in demand by armies around the world. For example, recently, the United Kingdom ordered the development of infantry electronic countermeasure devices for protection against remotely controlled explosive devices.
Infantry EW systems in Ukraine are also produced by the company Kvertus Technology. In particular, the company has a portable system called AD COUNTER FPV BACKPACK, which is also placed in a backpack.
