Ukrainian tech company Kvertus has developed a mobile electronic warfare (EW) system mounted on a ground-based robotic platform designed to provide battlefield protection against drones.
The system, dubbed Kvertus AD Berserk, is now entering serial production, according to company CEO Yaroslav Filimonov, who made the announcement on Facebook.
Filimonov said the platform has a communication and control range of 20 kilometers and can operate autonomously for up to 12 hours.
Its onboard EW unit is designed to jam all frequencies used by kamikaze drones, bombers and multirotor UAVs.
According to the company’s website, the system can block frequencies from 220 to 1050 MHz, as well as video transmission bands at 2.4 and 5.8 GHz.
The omnidirectional antennas have an effective jamming range of up to 800 meters, while directional antennas can reach up to 1,500 meters.
Kvertus says Berserk is intended to support casualty evacuation and demining, provide cover during assault operations, and protect logistical routes.
Berserk appears to be an evolution of the Volya-E mobile EW system, which Kvertus unveiled in September 2024 at the “Protecting a Warrior from a Drone” event.
At the time, Filimonov said the Volya-E featured a universal EW system mounted on a tracked robotic platform capable of advancing 3–4 kilometers beyond the front line to target reconnaissance drones, loitering munitions, and FPV kamikaze drones.
A comparison of the two systems suggests Berserk includes a larger number of omnidirectional antennas and an additional directional antenna — a response to the growing variety of drone frequencies on the battlefield and the need for continuous adaptation of counter-drone capabilities.
In February 2025, Kvertus and Ukraine’s Brave1 defense cluster also introduced the Atlas project — a plan to deploy an “anti-drone wall” of EW systems along the front line.
The Atlas system is designed as a second line of defense, following first-echelon EW tools such as portable or vehicle-mounted jammers. It is intended to protect command posts, troop concentrations during rotation or maneuver, and frontline cities and infrastructure.
