The Ministry of Defense has approved the use of the domestic KH-S7 FPV drone by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The manufacturers told ArmyInform about the development.
The Ukrainian drone is designed to engage a variety of moving and stationary ground targets.
The development of the drone began last summer. The team was made up of like-minded people, including engineers and military personnel who had previously been interested in UAVs and had been flying them as a hobby for years.
The KH-S7 FPV drone is said to carry a payload of 1 kilogram over a distance of 7 km, having enough power for more. However, there are many conditions.
According to the developers of the domestic UAV, the Ukrainian military used the KH-S7 at a maximum range of 9.5 kilometers.
The drone’s camera provides the operator with a high-quality image and helps to conduct additional reconnaissance during the mission.
“We have focused on its reliability and power, using only top-quality spare parts and systems. All components are from the world’s best manufacturers, with whom we have direct contracts. So our drone is truly a workhorse. At least the guys on the front line already like it. It’s best when you get positive feedback from them. It gives you inspiration to keep working,” says Vadym, a representative of the manufacturer.
He notes that their company was approved for operation by the Armed Forces of Ukraine under an expedited procedure.
The manufacturer is currently ramping up the production of KH-S7 FPV drones to meet the existing needs of the Ukrainian army.
The manufacturer’s representative highlights that the drone is very easy to operate for experienced operators.
As previously reported, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will use drones with artificial intelligence at the front. These drones should help Ukrainian troops to destroy the Russian invaders more effectively.
