Ukraine has conducted demonstration tests of medical evacuation equipment for Western partners.
Militarnyi reports on this.
The event demonstrated robotic platforms that can evacuate the wounded from under fire.
“The goal is to show that Ukrainian manufacturers can produce equipment for medical evacuation and to ask them to convey this information to their governments along with a proposal to purchase such equipment for the Ukrainian defense forces,” the event organizers shared.
In particular, they demonstrated the Rys PRO, Mule, and TerMIT ground drones. Logistics platforms are capable of evacuating the wounded while the operator is at a safe distance.
Several types of VEPR drones were presented at the exhibition. KNLR-B VEPR is designed to deliver goods to positions.
In turn, the KNLR-E VEPR version is equipped with a trolley that can transport the wounded.
The foreign partners were also shown Ukrainian-made medical off-road vehicles.
The exhibition featured a medical evacuation vehicle based on the Kozak armored vehicle. The Ukrainian company Practika introduced this vehicle in a sanitary version in 2023.
The original armored vehicle and its medical version are built on a modified chassis of the American Ford F550 off-road vehicle with a 4×4 wheel configuration.
Among the medical evacuation vehicles, the Bogdan-2251 on the Great Wall Wingle 5 chassis was also presented.
The first ten vehicles were transferred to the Armed Forces in April 2017. From 2017 to 2019, Bohdan Motors produced over two hundred Bohdan-2251 medevac vehicles.
