Ukraine continues to modernize the ZSU-23-4 Shilka self-propelled anti-aircraft guns.
This was announced in an interview by Taras Chmut, co-founder of ‘Militarnyi’ and director of the “Come Back Alive” charity fund.
“We are not the only contractor, that is, there are not 16 of them in the country (‘Shilkas’), there are significantly more. We are talking about dozens,” he said.
Chmut also said that Come Back Alive may continue the anti-aircraft gun modernization project.
This depends on whether the military unit will give its vehicle for modernization. The effectiveness of further investments must also be taken into account.
Modernization of the ZSU-23-4 Shilka by the Come Back Alive Foundation
It should be recalled that in 2025, Come Back Alive modernized 16 ZSU-23-4 Shilka self-propelled anti-aircraft guns, significantly increasing their combat capabilities.
Thanks to the 400 million hryvnia in charitable donations, the system underwent a major technical upgrade.
