The Ukrainian Air Force has launched an attack on enemy positions at the besieged factory in Vovchansk using precision-guided bombs.

The strikes were conducted with precision-guided munitions, as evidenced by footage showing accurate explosions over a relatively small area.

The specific type of aircraft bombs used remains undisclosed; however, judging from the video, bombs weighing up to 227 kg were deployed.

It’s important to note that remnants of Russian units are currently trapped at a factory in the city of Vovchansk.

To neutralize them, the Defense Forces are using their arsenal of precision weapons to dislodge these forces from their positions.

The use of aircraft bombs has proven highly effective, enabling precise targeting during airstrikes.

Furthermore, bombs from the Mk.82 series contain 89 kg of explosive material, while those from the Mk.83 series contain 202 kg, offering optimal capabilities for neutralizing enemy forces and their fortified positions.

It’s noteworthy that the Ukrainian Air Force currently employs American JDAM/ER and SDB high-precision bombs, as well as the French AASM (Hammer) family.

Furthermore, Ukraine is in the process of testing its own version of the JDAM-ER long-range guided bomb.

Previously, Militarnyi reported that, according to Serhii Holubotsov, Chief of Aviation of the Air Forces Command, Ukraine is preparing to conduct tests on its domestically developed analog to the JDAM-ER.

Currently, efforts are underway in Ukraine to develop high-precision kits for Soviet-era bombs. These kits not only enhance accuracy but also extend the range due to the inclusion of dual fins.
