The Ukrainian military visited the U.S. Air Force air base in Germany, which is testing the F-16’s engines.
The Spangdahlem Air Base, which is near the city of Spangdal, was visited by Chief Master Sgt. of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Kostiantyn Stanislavchuk.
During the visit, representatives of the Ukrainian Air Force visited various educational institutions at the American air base.
The U.S. Air Force said that the topic of discussion was the future opportunities for training the Ukrainian military.
“Chief Stanislavchuk visited various USAF education and training institutions during his visit to discuss future education and training opportunities for the Ukrainian Armed Forces,” the U.S. military said in a statement.
A stand with an F-16 fighter engine mounted on it was also demonstrated to the Ukrainian military.
Engines from the F-16 are periodically sent to the test chamber of the Spangdahlem base for comprehensive tests.
The visit took place at the end of March. Then Kostiantyn Stanislavchuk also met with the top leadership of the base and talked with the U.S. military.
In his speech, he expressed gratitude for the support Ukraine receives from the United States and other partner countries.
Recall that in March, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valerii Zaluzhnyi appealed to Western allies to provide F-16 fighters.
F-16 fighters will provide the Ukrainian Air Force with the ability to destroy enemy air, ground, and surface targets.
Recently, the Chief of Aviation of the Air Force of Ukraine, Serhii Holubtsov, told The Times that the American assessment of Ukrainian pilots in the United States showed that they would be ready to fly F-16 fighters in less than six months of training.
