Two paratroopers of the 79th Air Assault Brigade captured 14 invaders from the 91st Regiment during the assault.
The brigade’s press service reported this on its Telegram page.
According to the Commander of the 2nd Battalion of the 79th Brigade, who goes by the call sign Typhoon, the position was attacked for several days before the assault using Kazhan strike drones and FPV drones.
After that, the task was set to take the position, and a pair of assaultmen from the 2nd Battalion’s 8th Company moved in to assault.
With the cover of strike drones, which suppressed the enemy, the soldiers managed to approach the dugout unspotted and began throwing grenades at it.
At first, the Russian soldiers thought they had come under friendly fire from their own assault unit. But when they realized that Ukrainian soldiers were storming them, they decided to surrender without a fight.
After all the enemy soldiers came out of the dugout, it turned out that there were 14 of them. The battalion commander, with the consent of the brigade commander, nominated both assaultmen for state awards.
The Kazhan bomber drones were transferred to the 79th Brigade, in part as the Pulstron reconnaissance and strike systems from the Come Back Alive Foundation.
The funds for this system were raised as part of a joint project called Eye for Eye 3 with the OKKO gas station chain. In total, the Eye for Eye 3 project is raising UAH 500 million to supply all brigades of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces with Pulstron. As of the beginning of January 2025, the last 10th Pulstron is being raised.
In general, a Pulstron consists of about 40 pieces of various equipment that provide comprehensive support to a unit.
It is reported that the Pulstron system includes the following drones:
The system also includes Starlink, car portable radios, Mitsubishi L200 off-road vehicles or their equivalent, and night vision devices for drivers.
