Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated that the government does not plan to send Polish troops to Greenland.

He made this statement on January 15 during a press conference in Warsaw, according to Defence24.

“No. We do not plan to send Polish soldiers to Greenland,” Tusk said in response to questions from journalists.

The Polish prime minister’s position differs from the decisions of the governments of Germany, Sweden, Norway, and France, which have already announced their readiness to send their soldiers.

The officers are part of a group from several allied countries and are preparing the next stages of the Danish Operation Arctic Endurance exercises.

It should be noted that the British government is holding talks with its European allies on the possible deployment of military contingents in Greenland.

At this stage, London is in contact with official representatives of Germany and France. The parties are coordinating plans for the possible deployment of NATO and British forces in Greenland to protect the Arctic from potential threats, particularly from Russia and China.
