US President Donald Trump has ruled out any negotiations with Tehran without Iran’s surrender.
He made this statement on the social network Truth Social.
“There will be no deal with Iran except for unconditional surrender!” Trump wrote.
This sharp statement came immediately after Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian announced that some countries were ready to act as mediators for a ceasefire.
Trump stressed that only after Iran’s surrender and the election of an acceptable leader would the US and its allies begin working to rebuild the country.
According to the US president, the coalition’s goal is “to bring Iran out of a state of near destruction and make its economy stronger than ever before.”
“Iran has a bright future ahead of it,” Trump concluded, confirming his commitment to complete regime change.
On February 28, Israel launched Operation Lion’s Roar, initiated as a preventive measure to eliminate Iranian nuclear and missile threats.
US forces are also participating in the military operations against Iran, calling their part of the campaign “Epic Fury.”
In the first hours of the coalition operation, an air strike on Tehran eliminated Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who had ruled the country for 37 years.
Iran responds by striking Israel and countries in the region where US military bases are located. At the same time, the intensity of the attacks is decreasing, as the Israeli Air Force and US forces, having eliminated almost the entire military and political leadership of the country, have struck key missile weapons depots and command posts.
The Pentagon recently announced that the number of ballistic missile launches by Iran has decreased by 86%, and kamikaze drone launches by 73%.
