The Ukrainian Trembita missile continues to be actively developed by volunteers.
France 24 reported about this.
Design and development work is carried out by engineers from the PARS volunteer design bureau, with assistance from volunteers of the public organization “Vidsich.”
It is planned that the missile will perform two tasks: strike targets and be used as a decoy for enemy air defense.
“As a strike missile, it will already carry a warhead, expensive electronics will be used, which allows it to be guided and hit accurately,” said Serhii, engineer of the PARS bureau.
Serhii added that the missile in the decoy variant will be very cheap, which makes its shooting down very unprofitable from an economic point of view and allows it to deplete the enemy’s air defense.
The missile engine does not have any moving parts, is easy to manufacture, and runs on gasoline.
It can be launched by a pneumocatapult or due to a solid fuel rocket booster.
The warhead may have a thermobaric charge and a 20 kg HE-Frag warhead.
Recall that Militarnyi earlier reported on the start of the development of a “people’s” rocket.
In addition, PARS bureau engineers showed another project: a homing installation for Chumak 120mm mortars.
Its peculiarity is that the installation is able to automatically point to the target, taking into account all the adjustments made using the fixed point on the map.
This technology helps to quickly deploy the battery, perform fire damage, and collapse, which will avoid a return fire.
