Finnish company Patria has demonstrated its new TRACKX tracked all-terrain armored vehicle for the first time during field testing.
The company posted the footage on its YouTube channel.
The video shows the armored vehicle moving across rough terrain, overcoming various obstacles, and, for the first time, the interior of the driver’s cab.
As a reminder, the TRACKX armored personnel carrier was officially unveiled in June 2024.
The vehicle was developed as part of the multinational FAMOUS program, funded by the European Defense Fund.
The project is being implemented in cooperation with industrial partners and countries participating in the program. Serial production is scheduled to begin in 2027.
Patria notes that the new platform is designed to replace the outdated M113 and MT-LB armored vehicles.
The TRАCKX is designed to transport up to 12 fully equipped soldiers and is capable of operating effectively on roads, in wooded areas, on steep slopes, in swamps, and in deep snow without losing its protective and running characteristics.
The combat vehicle weighs about 12 tons and has a load capacity of up to 3.5 tons.
It can be equipped with a 12.7 mm machine gun as standard, and in the future, with various combat modules with other weapons.
