Ukrainian company Reform has presented a CASEVAC medical evacuation vehicle based on a Toyota off-road vehicle.
This was reported by Militarnyi journalists, who visited the company’s stand at the Defense Technologies / Pozhtech 2025 exhibition.
The vehicle is a multi-purpose platform built on the chassis of a Toyota Land Cruiser 79 off-road vehicle. The ambulance version is available in two versions — armored and unarmored.
The unarmored version is already known within the project of the Come Back Alive Foundation and Ukrzaliznytsia, under which the Defense Forces received 16 ambulances.
During production, the standard cabin of the off-road vehicle is dismantled and replaced with a new armored capsule of our own design.
The capsule has a PSZA-4 protection level with additional B6 reinforcement, which provides resistance to 7.62 mm and 5.45 mm caliber bullets.
The vehicle’s underbody complies with STANAG 4569 and can withstand the explosion of a single DM 31 anti-personnel mine containing 510 g of explosive and approximately 1.18 kg of steel fragments.
An optional STANAG 4569 Level 2A floor is also available, capable of withstanding the explosion of a mine weighing up to 6 kg under any front wheel.
During production, the vehicle’s chassis and braking system are also upgraded, including reinforced rear springs and shock absorbers. In addition, reinforced wheels and tires with RUNFLAT technology are installed.
The medical compartment is equipped with stretchers, three seats, and all the necessary equipment for providing emergency care: a lighting system, first aid kits, a monitor, a defibrillator, an oxygen cylinder, a ventilator, etc. In addition, an air conditioning system and an inverter are provided.
The vehicle can also be additionally equipped with all-round anti-drone structures, commonly known as “cage armor,” and electronic warfare equipment.
It should be noted that various companies in the Ukrainian defense industry manufacture and supply vehicles for various purposes to the military on Toyota Land Cruiser chassis.
In particular, Praktika manufactures the Dzhura tactical vehicle and its medical version, the Dzhura-EVAC, on the Land Cruiser 70 chassis.
In addition, in February this year, UkrArmoTech presented the UAT-TISA vehicle on a Land Cruiser 79 chassis.
