The Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed the Russian base occupied Nova Kakhovka in the Kherson Region.

Local media reported a massive explosion in Nova Kakhovka around noon on June 16.

Photos and videos from the scene allowed us to identify the site of the explosion. It is the Nova Kakhovka furniture factory.

The photos also show several units of Russian military equipment: trucks and MT-LB. Some of them are destroyed.

There was a large fragment in some photos, probably of a Tochka-U missile.

Theoretically, the Armed Forces of Ukraine could hit the Russian base in Nova Kakhovka even from the vicinity of Mykolaiv. The Tochka-U missile system specifications allow the Ukrainian military to hit enemy targets on most parts of the Kherson Region.

This is not the first shelling of Nova Kakhovka facilities, turned into military sites by Rashists. On June 14, a base at one of the city enterprises was destroyed. Such actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are widely supported among the local population. After the last shelling, city roads got covered with inscriptions praising the accuracy of the Ukrainian army.
