Joe Biden’s Administration has asked Congress to provide $37 billion in emergency aid to Ukraine.
Such an initiative was developed due to the fact that the previously approved expenses within the limits of the temporary budget are running out.
AP reports about this.
A letter from Shalanda Young, Director of the White House Office of Management and Budget, to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi states that over three-fourths of the $40 billion was already disbursed or committed.
“Together, with strong, bipartisan support in the Congress, we have provided significant assistance that has been critical to Ukraine’s success on the battlefield — and we cannot let that support run dry,” Young said in a letter.
It is reported that the allocated funds will be used for both military and humanitarian aid.
The day before, CNN reported that the United States is studying how to modify Gray Eagle unmanned aircraft systems to be transferred to Ukraine.
