The State Department of the United States claimed that the support of Ukraine with weapons will remain ongoing.
Militarnyi informs about this.
Ned Price, the U.S. State Department Spokesman, said that nothing would be stopping President Joe Biden’s Administration from continuing its support of Ukraine, European Pravda reported citing CNN.
When asked about the impact of the diplomatic message from Russia warning the United States not to continue arming Ukraine, the US State Department Spokesperson replied:
“The Russians have said some things privately, they have said some things publicly; nothing will dissuade us from the strategy that we’ve embarked on.”
Price mentioned that he is “not in a position to confirm any private diplomatic correspondence.”
He added: “If the allegation from the Kremlin is that the US and our partners around the world are providing billions of dollars worth of security assistance to our Ukrainian partners, precisely what our Ukrainian partners have requested, and that our Ukrainian partners are using that very security assistance to extraordinary effects to repel this Russian aggression, well, then we’re guilty as charged.”
Previously, the media reported that Russia had sent an official diplomatic note to the United States this week warning that US and NATO supplies of “most sensitive” weapons systems to Ukraine are “adding fuel” to the conflict and could be bringing “unpredictable consequences.”
Recently, on April 13, it was reported that the United States is allocating another $800 million to Ukraine for the weapons, including artillery, armored vehicles, and helicopters.
Since Biden had been in office, the United States has provided over $2.4 billion in security assistance to Ukraine, including the $1.7 billion that was provided after Russia has launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24.
