The Armed Forces of Ukraine are using foreign weapons to fight the Russian invaders.

A photo featuring a serviceman with this weapon was released by the Marine Command of the Ukrainian Navy.

40-mm M320 single-shot grenade launchers were handed over to Ukraine as security assistance to repel Russia’s full-scale aggression.

Among others, the Ukrainian Marines are armed with this weapon.

The M320 grenade launcher is a single-shot weapon with a rifled barrel, Day/Night Sight produced by Insight Technology, Inc, and a handheld Laser Range Finder.

The M320 grenade launcher can be mounted under the barrel of an automatic rifle or can be used as a separate handgun unit. In this case, a retractable buttstock would be mounted on top.

The sight on the grenade launcher is folding. To charge the grenade launcher, its shutter is tilted to the side, which allows firing with any 40-mm NATO-standard ammunition. M320 has a fuse in the form of a flag which is located above the handle in the rear of the body on both sides.

The Laser Range Finder helps to determine the distance to the target at a distance of over 100 meters, which helps increase the accuracy of the hit.

As previously reported, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are using the 40-mm Mark 19 automatic grenade launchers produced in the USA.

Mobile groups in vehicles that are equipped with Mark 19 are already participating in battles against the Russian invaders.

The supply of these weapons was announced earlier this year. However, it is possible that the Mk 19 grenade launchers have been supplied to the Armed Forces of Ukraine before, as the ammunition for the 40-mm grenade launchers had repeatedly been part of the cargo of American aircraft, including in the fall of 2021.
