The Ukrainian military released a video taken with a UAV capturing the destruction of the Russian ammunition depot in occupied Makiyivka.
The video was published on social media.
Late in the evening of July 4, around 9:30 p.m., Russian depots exploded in the Russian-occupied town of Makiyivka, Donetsk region. The Center for Strategic Communications of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the attack on the strategic object of the enemy.
Thanks to the publication of the military, it has now clear that the epicenter of the explosion was a Russian depot with MLRS ammunition. It was housed in an unfinished building.
The video presents that after the damage, numerous secondary detonations and independent launches of missiles were taking place, which were flying in different directions on nearby buildings.
It was possible to geolocate the location of the depots in an unfinished building on Heroyiv Stalinhrada street, which is located among residential buildings and next to the hospital.
The aftermath of the detonation of ammunition can be compared to the shelling of a city with an MLRS due to the large-scale explosion of missiles that hit nearby buildings.
The explosion severely damaged the nearby building of City Hospital № 2. Windows were broken, part of the walls were destroyed, and medical equipment was damaged.
At least one casualty among civilians was reported. The person lived not far from the explosion’s epicenter.
