The Defense Forces of Ukraine liberated another settlement in the Luhansk region.
Serhiy Haidai, Head of the Lugansk RMA, announced this.
He shared photos capturing the Ukrainian military near the Stelmakhivka village council in his Telegram channel.
“It is already official: the village of Stelmakhivka (Kolomyychykha community, Svatove district, Lugansk region), is liberated from Russian invaders,” Haidai wrote.
He also specified which other settlements of the Lugansk region were already liberated from Russian troops.
Serhiy Haidai noted that the first settlement liberated by the Armed Forces was Grekivka. This was however not immediately reported since the stabilization measures were underway there.
“Currently, all seven settlements are completely controlled by Ukraine,” Haidai wrote.
Yesterday, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced the liberation of 29 settlements in east of Ukraine.
“Only during this week, our soldiers liberated from the Russian pseudo-referendum 776 square kilometers of territory in the east of our country and 29 settlements, including six in the Luhansk region,” Zelensky said.
According to him, a total of 2,434 square kilometers of Ukrainian land and 96 settlements were already liberated since the beginning of this offensive operation.
On October 6, Zelensky stated that since the beginning of the month, the Ukrainian military has already de-occupied more than 500 square kilometers of the territory of the Kherson region.
