Soldiers of the Ukrainian Defense Forces are seizing trophy military equipment and weapons during hostilities with Russian aggressors.

The Ukrainian military acquires both the latest technology and long-familiar models of weapons and vehicles, which are in the service of the aggressor’s army.

During the fighting, Ukraine captured various modernized tanks and combat vehicles.

Captured T-72 tanks of various modifications, including the latest T-72B3, T-90A, and T-80, come into service of the Ukrainian army. Trophy armored personnel carriers, infantry fighting vehicles, armored vehicles, and other types of vehicles are also being used by various Ukrainian units.

After carrying out minor repairs (if necessary) and upon the coordination of the crew, military trophy equipment is being used for assigned tasks.

On social media, a video featuring the Ukrainian military mastering a trophy Russian BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicle and a BTR-82A armored personnel carrier was released.

It demonstrates how the main weapon element of the BTR-82A, a 30-mm automatic gun, is fired at the test site.

The BTR-82 armored personnel carrier is the latest version of the BTR-80 with a 2A72 30 mm gun.

An armored personnel carrier is designed to transport units, provide fire support in combat zones, ensure the destruction of manpower, anti-tank weapons, and light armored enemy vehicles.

The BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicle is armed with a 100-millimeter gun – a 2A70 launcher with a 30-millimeter 2A72 automatic gun, and a 7.62-millimeter machine gun PKTM.

The vehicle is designed to transport personnel to the front line, increasing its mobility, armament, and security on the battlefield under the application of nuclear weapons and joint action with tanks in battle.
