Infozahyst continues to work on its Gekata radio reconnaissance aircraft complex.

The Militarnyi informs about it.

According to the website of the research and production center of the Scientific Research Center “Infozahyst” on 18th February to second flight test of the radio-technical reconnaissance complex onboard the UAV took place.

The main aim of these flight tests was to establish critical operating conditions of the complex. The tests also were needed to determine a load of accelerations during takeoff and landing, vibration during flight, and the influence of altitude and other indicators.

The tests were successful, and by the plan, we were able to record all the necessary characteristics for further work,” said company director Yaroslav Kalinin.

The private company noted that the tests will allow for the results obtained in further work to ensure the efficiency of the complex in the most difficult operating conditions.

The Gekata radio reconnaissance complex is locating on based on the PD-2 UAV from Ukrspecsystems.

A new development Gekata radio reconnaissance air complex passed flight tests the “Infozakhyst” in December last year. The complex is designed to detect radio-emitting targets at a distance of hundreds of kilometers.

The basis of the complex is a 10-kilogram container with equipment for radio-technical reconnaissance. This container is installed on the PD-2 drone. The developers explain that the whole complex consists of a ground control station and six drones.

The principle of operation of the complex Gekata

Three UAVs must be in the ande and change in turn which will provide round-the-clock monitoring along the 100-km front and at a depth of up to 450 km from the patrol place. It allows collecting information 24/7 about all enemy objects that emit radio signals and accurately determines their coordinates.

It’s not just about control points and command and staff vehicles but also counter-battery radars, radars of anti-aircraft missile systems or aircraft, as well as ordinary radio stations of the rank enemy fighters.

Gekata only collects data without emitting anything. The complex’s capabilities allow tracking up to 200 targets simultaneously and transmitting information about them online. Or, in the case of full radio or stand-alone flight, store this information on internal media.
