The first launches of the TYFUN ballistic missile designed by the Roketsun were conducted in Turkey.
DHA reports about this.
It is noted that the tests were successful, and the missile hit the target at a distance of 561 kilometers in 458 seconds.
The launch took place from Rize-Artvin Airport in the northeast of Turkey.
The released video did not capture the moment of the target being hit.
Ballistic missile launchers were mounted on a wheeled chassis.
Savunmasanayist media notes that the new missile is similar to the BORA ballistic missile produced by the same Turkish company. It is emphasized that TYFUN is the first Turkish short-range ballistic missile.
There are currently no details on the ballistic missile project on the Roketsan’s website.
