The Territorial Defense hopes to arm itself with Javelin and complexes NLAW

The Territorial Defense Forces leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine hopes that the units will receive anti-tank systems Javelin and NLAW.

Militarnyi reported that regarding the statement of the Deputy Commander of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine interview with Radio Svoboda Serhiy Sobko.

Territorial defense does not rule out that they will receive weapons that are already entering the ground forces.

“We are talking about the United States and the United Kingdom – Javelin, as well as NLAW. The funds we receive from our partner countries,” said Serhiy Sobko, Chief of Staff and Deputy Commander of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

So far, instructors on the use of Ukrainian anti-tank systems are being trained for territorial defense.

Last week, the first group of instructors of the territorial harrow on the use of Ukrainian-made Stugna and Corsair anti-tank systems was trained.

“Now the second group of instructors is preparing in Kyiv. The next week will be the third group. And these people will continue to spread their knowledge,” said Serhiy Sobko.

On January 18, it became known that NLAW (Next Generation Light Anti-tank Weapon) will be delivered to Ukraine.

It is an anti-tank short-range missile system – up to 800 meters. The complex will design to destroy armored vehicles, tanks, armored personnel carriers, helicopters, and fortifications.

The American anti-tank complex Javelin has been supplied to Ukraine before.

Larger parties from the United States began to arrive after Russia began to concentrate its troops near the Ukrainian border.
