The SSU detained a collaborator who was helping the invaders escape from the counteroffensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Donetsk region.
The collaborator was detained during stabilization measures in the liberated areas in the east of Ukraine.
It was established that the collaborator had been providing the invaders with personal data of Ukrainian patriots and addresses of their relatives.
Punitive squads of the aggressors used the obtained data to carry out mass repressions against local residents.
“During the temporary occupation of Lyman community, he informed Russians on location of members of the resistance movement,” the SSU said.
In addition, the state traitor showed the Russians the houses of local farmers who had left the region.
“First, the invaders looted such households, and then accommodated their personnel there and hid military equipment in the yards,” law enforcement officers said.
During the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Donetsk region, the criminal helped the invaders escape from Ukrainian troops through forests.
Then, he tried to avoid justice. However, the SSU officers exposed him after the de-occupation of the area.
According to the investigation, the detainee is a resident of the village of Staryi Karavan, who voluntarily cooperated with the Russians at the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
The court chose custody as a measure of restraint for the criminal.
As previously reported, a woman who took part in the organization of a fictitious referendum was recently detained in a liberated settlement in Luhansk region.
