The invaders left the latest Russian-made Kornet anti-tank missile system with ammunition for it when fleeing from their positions.

The video of the trophy equipment was released on the NMFTE Telegram channel.

The servicemen of the 36th Separate Marine Brigade operating on the southern front seized the 9К129 Kornet launcher and at least several anti-tank missiles.

The Ukrainian military has successfully used the Kornet ATGM before, but not in a systematic way due to a shortage of missiles for them.

9К129 Kornet ATGM is an anti-tank missile system of 2+ generation designed by the Tula Design Bureau.

It was developed on the basis of the Refleks ATGM and retained its main layout solutions. It is designed to defeat tanks and other lightly armored targets.

In the process of development, the system got equipped with missiles with a high-explosive and thermobaric warhead. Due to this, it is able to work against the enemy’s manpower.

The main difference from the Fagot, Konkurs, and Metis types of Soviet-era second-generation ATGMs lies in the guidance system. While the guided missile control was carried out by wires in Soviet-era systems, the Cornet missiles are guided by a laser beam (a similar control scheme is implemented in the Ukrainian Stugna ATGM).

The manufacturer states that the maximum range is 5500 meters.

The weight of the launcher is 25 kg. It can be delivered to the war zone by any means of transport. If necessary, the 9P163М-1 launchers can be installed on any mobile platform with the help of the adapter bracket.

Militarnyi reported about the 98th Battalion soldiers, who destroyed the infantry fighting vehicles of the invaders with the Russian Kornet ATGM.

The Russian anti-tank system was presumably captured during hostilities in the north of Ukraine.
