The russian ivaders fired at the residential quarters of Krasnohorivka in the Donetsk region with Tornado-S MLRS cluster munitions.

In the Donetsk region, the Russians struck from Tornado-S multiple rocket launchers at the residential sector of the city of Krasnohorivka, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine reported.

The invaders used cluster munitions against the civilians.

“The enemy fired from Tornado-S multiple rocket launchers at the residential sector of Krasnohorivka. Russian troops have used banned cluster munitions,” police said.

Munitions were reported to have fallen in the middle of residential sector streets. Police officers surrounded a dangerous area to ensure the safety of the civilian population.

Currently, explosive devices of the police and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine detect and neutralize cumulative warheads.

“According to preliminary information, the time of self-destruction of elements can be up to 40 hours, ie to be near them – is deadly,” – warned the Interior Ministry.

The police urge city residents to be as careful as possible and not to approach ammunition. Unfortunately, cases of injuries resulting from the handling of cluster munitions have already been recorded in the Donetsk region.

Russia’s multiple rocket launcher uses high-precision 300mm 9M544/9M549 munitions. With such shells, on March 21, the Russians struck at the Ukrainian city of Avdiivka.

9M544/9M549 munition are designed to destroy armored and unarmored vehicles, as well as manpower and other objects.

During the large-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russian invasion forces fired on and destroyed key infrastructure, and carried out massive shelling of residential areas of Ukrainian cities and towns using artillery, multiple rocket launchers and ballistic missiles.
