Russia continues to build up air defense around and within the city of Moscow.
A radar station designed to detect aircraft was installed near the Salaryevo metro station in the capital of the aggressor country.
The Sirena Telegram channel published the video featuring this radar.
It is reported that the radar station is deployed at the final stop of bus #420 near the subway.
Salaryevo metro station is located approximately 20 km away from the Moscow city center. However, it is not known how long this radar has been there.
According to the photo, this is the Russian P-18-2 “Prima” radar, designed to detect, track, and determine the coordinates of various types of air objects.
The crew of the radar station consists of 2 people who can work both from the equipped cabin and from remote workplaces.
It is stated that P-18-2 “Prima” has a high degree of automation. All the equipment and the antenna-mast device are placed on one vehicle. The time of deploying and dismantling the station is about 5 minutes.
The station is equipped with satellite navigation equipment that works with GLONASS/GPS signals, which provide automatic orientation. It includes a built-in diesel power plant and a power take-off generator. In addition, the station can be connected to a three-phase network of general purpose.
The radar works in the meter wave range. It is capable of detecting all aircraft at a maximum range of 320 km. The minimum detection range is 500 meters.
In January, the Pantsir-S1 medium-range surface-to-air missile and anti-aircraft artillery systems were deployed on houses in the center of Moscow and not far from the Rublovsky Highway near Moscow, where the Russian elite lives.
Subsequently, it was reported that the Russian Air Defense has taken under protection the residence of the leader of the aggressor state, Vladimir Putin.
