The Transcarpathian Brigade struck the Russian main battle tank of the newest modification.

This was reported by the press service of the 128th Brigade .

Fighters of the 128th Separate Mountain-assault Brigade destroyed the Russian Т-90А tank.

In the published photos, it was shown that the tank turret was separated from the hull.

Such cases occur when in tanks of Soviet construction there is a detonation of the ammunition.

In the vast majority of cases, the detachment of the tank turret did not immediately follow the impact of enemy ammunition, but after getting its own ammunition detonated.

If the tankers did not leave the fighting vehicle in time, the consequences for them were fatal. There is a huge pressure in the tank, looking for a way out.

The explosion of ammunition sometimes has such a force that not only the turret flies away, but also from the armored vehicle itself turns into fragments of metal.

The problem lies in the counter-sanction of Soviet Т-72. Т-90А represents a deep modernization of Т-72 tank.

In Т-72, ammunition is placed in a circle inside the turret, on a military slang it is called “devil in the tanker.”

This disadvantage in the design of tanks indicates different approaches and priorities in the armies. In most western tanks, ammunition can be stored under the floor of the turret, protected by a heavy hull, or in the rear of the turret.
