More than 200,000 people have already joined the ranks of the armed forces of the Russian Federation since the beginning of “partial mobilization”.
Sergei Shoigu, Minister of Defense of the aggressor country, announced this.
Mobilized men are allegedly arriving at military units and undergoing training in coordination and use of military equipment.
According to Shoigu, the relevant officials were instructed to provide the mobilized persons with the necessary sets of clothes and other property and assign them to military positions.
“Training of the personnel of the formed units is being conducted at 80 training grounds and at six training centers,” Shoigu said.
As previously reported, on September 21, the Russian Federation declared a “partial mobilization” for the ranks of military formations.
The mobilization is supposed to cover only those citizens who are considered military reserve. However, information is constantly appearing on social media platforms and Russian media that very often, the summonses are received by men having many children, no combat experience, or numerous diseases. They do not fall under the requirements of the so-called “partial mobilization”.
In his video address to the Russians, Putin promised that “before being deployed to their bases, conscripts would undergo additional military training taking into account the experience of war in Ukraine”, which the President of the Russian Federation calls a “special military operation”.
According to official information, 300,000 men are supposed to be mobilized in Russia. However, Novaya Gazeta. Europe received information that Putin’s decree on partial mobilization allows the call-up of a million people. The publication emphasizes that this is stated in the paragraph of the decree marked “for official use.” Dmitry Peskov, Putin’s press secretary, called the information published by Novaya Gazeta a lie.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on September 28 that the first mobilized Russians have already begun to replenish the personnel of the Russian invasion forces in Ukraine.
The General Staff also noted that the Russian occupation authorities in the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions are trying to forcefully mobilize the local population.
As previously reported, in temporarily occupied Crimea, the Russian invaders were instructed to first mobilize the Crimean Tatars. The plan is to deploy them to the areas of the most intense hostilities.
