September 24, 2022, became a new “bad day” for the Russian Aerospace Forces. On this day, the Russian army confirmed the loss of a number of attack aircraft.
At the same time, there still remains some uncertainty about exactly how many aircraft and of what types were shot down.
Pavlo Kashchuk was the first to report the destruction of the Russian warplanes. According to him, soldiers of the 8th Separate Special Forces Regiment and Ukrainian Air Assault Forces neutralized two Su’s without specifying the exact type of aircraft.
Subsequently, the Command of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces released a video that captured the aircraft’s destruction. According to the paratroopers, the Su-30 and Su-25 were destroyed. Video footage confirms the damage to the Su-30SM. A strong fire is observed in the area of the jet’s engine.
Oleksii Reznikov, Minister of Defense of Ukraine, released a video featuring a Russian fighter jet going down. The minister claims that this Su-30 was destroyed with the Stinger MANPADS in the Kharkiv region. The video captured the crew ejecting.
Ten months ago, in WDC, I asked for Stingers 4 #UAarmy & heard "It's impossible."
Many times.
Today, rus Su-30 jet was shot down by ?? Stinger in the Kharkiv region.
So…the impossible is indeed possible.

They released the footage that Kashchuk had previously shown to support this statement and, additionally, published the burning plane on the ground.
The results of the day were summed up by the Russian Fighterbomber Telegram channel administrator in his statement – “F*cking day”.
