Volodymyr Zelensky, President of Ukraine, had signed a Decree which states that the spring conscription in 2022 was canceled.
Militarnyi informs about it.
Decree №230/2022 was published on the official website of the President of Ukraine.
According to the document, the previously determined deadlines for the next rounds of conscription of citizens of Ukraine for regular military service in April-June 2022 have been canceled.
Military personnel who have already served the established terms of the regular conscripted military service would not be transferred to the reserve as the demobilization period was not yet determined.
They may be transferred to reserve “not earlier than the announcement of the demobilization procedures,” said the statement.
Potentially the terms of demobilization would be announced after the end of the war with the Russian invaders.
Previously, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that there would be no conscription due to the fact that during the general mobilization in Ukraine, the filling of open positions in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations is carried out through engaging the conscripts and reservists.
