The Netherlands will supply the Ukrainian Defense Forces with 25 YPR-765 tracked armored medical evacuation vehicles.

The Ministry of Defense of the Netherlands announced this in a press release.

Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans made the announcement during a meeting in the Ramstein format.

“We are approaching the sad milestone of 3 years of large-scale Russian aggression in Ukraine. For 3 years, Ukrainians have been tirelessly fighting for their future. And with it – for our freedom and security. The Netherlands has allocated more than EUR 10 billion for military assistance. Of this, about EUR 6 billion have been realized. Especially now, when Ukrainians are fighting on the front line, we must continue our support uninterrupted,” he stated.

Brekelmans emphasized that peace with Russia can only be achieved through military force.

The Minister also noted that the Netherlands had transferred the last batch of T-72 tanks to Ukraine.

The armored personnel carriers planned for transfer probably belong to the YPR-765 PRGWT (Pantser Rups Gewondentransport) modification, designed to evacuate the wounded.

This combat vehicle is not equipped with weapons, its crew consists of three people, and the squad compartment can accommodate five soldiers.

The rear compartment has two seats on the left, containers for personal equipment on both sides and two places for stretchers suspended from chains.

The vehicle is equipped with a diesel heater to ensure comfortable transportation of the wounded.

Assistance from the Netherlands

On February 6, it was reported that the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine received a new batch of F-16 multi-role fighter jets from the Netherlands.

The number of the transferred aircraft was not disclosed. In total, the Netherlands has pledged to provide Ukraine with 24 fighters.

On December 1, Militarnyi informed that the Dutch government would allocate an additional EUR 22 million to Ukraine for air defense and cyber resilience.

The Ukrainian Defense Forces will also receive about 30,000 sets of military uniforms.
