Since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, the Netherlands has provided Ukraine with military assistance worth almost EUR 6 billion.

This was reported on the Dutch Ministry of Defense website.

This includes various equipment and weapons, ammunition, combat aircraft and drones, as well as air defense systems.

Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans stated in a letter to the House of Representatives that as of February 4, the total value of the Netherlands’ military support for Ukraine had increased to almost EUR 5.88 billion.

It is noted that this is EUR 2.12 billion more than in September 2024. The Netherlands supplied, in particular, F-16 fighter jets, combat vehicles, and air defense systems.

In addition, the Netherlands supplied Ukraine with drones, radars, ammunition for tanks and artillery, as well as individual weapons, including machine guns.

The defense aid also included ATVs, Mercedes-Benz SUVs, medical equipment, and food packages.

In addition, last year, the Netherlands deployed 255 troops to Germany and 350 to the UK to train the Ukrainian military.

During the last meeting in the Ramstein format, the Dutch Minister of Defense announced that 25 YPR-765 tracked armored personnel carriers in the sanitary version would be transferred to the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

Minister Ruben Brekelmans also noted that the Netherlands had transferred the last batch of T-72 tanks to Ukraine.

In early February, it was reported that the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine received a new batch of F-16 multi-role fighters from the Netherlands. The number of the transferred aircraft was not disclosed. The Netherlands has pledged to provide Ukraine with 24 fighter jets in total.

In December, Militarnyi reported that the Dutch government would provide Ukraine with an additional EUR 22 million for air defense and cyber resilience. The Ukrainian Defense Forces will also receive about 30,000 sets of military uniforms.
