Ukraine is purchasing GROT assault rifles from Poland.

“I have another good news. The Ukrainians decided to order more GROT assault rifles from the Polish company Fabryka Broni “Łucznik” in the city of Radom,” Błaszczak said.
The Polish minister did not reveal the number of assault rifles committed for Ukraine.
It is worth noting that the soldiers of the Defense Forces of Ukraine started receiving Polish GROT assault rifles in the spring of 2022.
These small arms were transferred to Ukraine by Poland as part of military assistance after the start of the full-scale Russian invasion. According to open sources, Ukrainian troops could receive 10,000 units of such assault rifles.
Polish GROT C16 assault rifle chambered in 5.56×45mm NATO cartridge was under development since 2007. All weapon tests were completed in 2017. GROT is designed according to the modular principle. It has a NATO-standard cartridge and is designed to replace small arms created on the basis of the Kalashnikov assault rifle. There is also a bullpup version of the rifle.
The Polish company Fabryka Broni Łucznik in the city of Radom is involved in the GROT assault rifles production. The company will supply the Polish armed forces with almost 88,000 GROT C16 A2 rifles chambered in 5.56×45mm NATO cartridges by the end of 2026.
The GROT C16 A2 assault rifle is equipped with a folding telescopic stock with adjustable length. The user can adapt the weapon to his current needs and individual characteristics. The folding stock facilitates the transportation of the assault rifle and its use in a limited space.
