The Ukrainian military has demonstrated firing from a prototype of the Ukrainian Bogdana wheeled self-propelled gun.

A photo of the artillery system was published by 1st Ivan Bohun Special Forces Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Ukrainian wheeled ACS fires 155mm shells.

“A strong “woman” with courage and determination overcomes enemies, her name is Bohdana. She destroys enemies with the support of courageous men who care about her!,” the Brigade wrote in a message.

The published photos portray the work of the Ukrainian experimental howitzer crew, the targeting process, as well as loading with subsequent firing. The artillery system is used to defeat the Russian invaders positions.

It should be reminded that the Ukrainian military used a prototype of the Bohdana ACS, which was built on the chassis of the KrAZ-63221, in particular, for strikes on the then captured by the Russians Snake Island in the Black Sea.

Ukrainian artillery fire was adjusted, in particular, by the Bayraktar TB2 multi-purpose UAV.

In early May, it became known that the Ukrainian Bogdana 155mm wheeled self-propelled howitzer was defeating enemies. The domestic self-propelled howitzer was used to destroy military equipment, positions and personnel of the Russian invasion forces.

Bohdana is the first 155mm NATO-standard caliber howitzer, which was developed by specialists of the Ukrainian defense industry.

According to the developer of the wheeled self-propelled howitzer, the firing range with a conventional projectile is up to 40 km.

Bogdana was first demonstrated in July 2018. After carrying out all the necessary state tests and the adoption of the Bohdana into service, the deployment of its serial production was expected.

It was planned that a full-fledged digital fire control system and a charging machine would be installed on the Bohdana ACS.
