The enemy continues shelling the peaceful towns of Donetsk region. On July 3, Kramatorsk and Sloviansk were attacked by the invaders.
The mayor of Sloviansk Vadym Liakh, reported on the largest shelling of the city in recent times.
He noted that about 15 fires have been recorded in the city, and there are injured and dead people. The invaders used multiple rocket launchers.
Six people were killed and another 15 – injured, Suspilne reports, referring to Tetiana Ihnatchenko, a spokeswoman for the Donetsk Regional Administration. A video of the shelling appeared on the Internet.
The mayor of Kramatorsk, Oleksandr Honcharenko, reported that the enemy attacked the city with the Smerch multiple rocket launcher.
According to preliminary information, there are no victims among the civilian population, but there is serious destruction of houses and infrastructure.
“Stay closer to the shelters, don’t ignore the alarm signals!” Oleksandr Honcharenko said.
The Donetsk Regional Military Administration clarified that the firtst enemy rocket destroyed the hotel, and the other two ruined the road surface.
“One of the rockets destroyed a hotel and residential complex. The other two ruined part of the road in a residential area. Operative services and law enforcement officers are currently working at the scene of the events,” the Donetsk Regional Military Administration said.
As previously reported, according to Serhii Haidai, Head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, invaders are attempting to gain a foothold in the area of Lysychansk. At the same time, the city is brutally shelled.
Later, the Russian mass media reported that Lysychansk had apparently been taken under control.
Yuriy Sak, the adviser to the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, told the BBC that Lysychansk is not under the “full control” of Russian troops.
