The explosions in the unrecognized “Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic” are one of the planned provocation activities of the Russian intelligence services.

Ukrainian intelligence reports that a few days ago, in unrecognized Transnistria preparations for “explosions” organized by the FSS RF were launched to justify the war with Ukraine, or to involve Transnistria in the hostilities in the war against Ukraine.

On April 22, Vadym Shmalenko, “Secretary of the State Commission for Emergency Situations” of unrecognized Transnistria, wrote a letter to Volodymyr Bychkov, Head of the Kamensky District. It regarded the urgent (until 16:00 of the same day) preparation of information on the availability and location of the “protected point of civil defense of the city,” shared the Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.

In the absence of such a location, the issue of its urgent creation was raised.

“Thus, three days before the incident, the leaders of the “Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic” were already preparing for it and took care of the installation of a secure and comfortable bomb shelter,” mentioned the Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.

Earlier, several explosions pounded the capital of the unrecognized “Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic” on April 25 at about 5:45 p.m. Explosions happened in the building of the “Ministry of State Security” and the branch of the Russian Federal Security Service in the “Transnistrian” region.

As a result of the incident, the building was damaged and the windows were smashed. On the street near the building objects in the form of tubes are laying. These are presumably used RPG-22 and RPG-27 hand grenade launchers.

Ukrainian intelligence notes that this case is one of a series of provocative activities organized by the FSS to escalate panic and anti-Ukrainian sentiment.

According to the authors, they should justify the war on the territory of Ukraine or involve the Transnistrian region in the hostilities.

According to the information available to Ukrainian intelligence, the FSS will continue a series of provocative terrorist attacks on the territory of the unrecognized “Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic”.

For reference: the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic (the short version is “Transnistria”) is a self-proclaimed state in Eastern Europe in Transnistria, which is recognized by the international community as part of the Republic of Moldova. It is located at almost the entire Moldovan part of the left bank of the Dniester, as well as several settlements on the right bank of the river.
