There was no decision made to conduct the centralized evacuation from Kharkiv. Oleh Syniehubov, Head of the Regional Military Administration, reports about this.

“We will be evacuating the cities in a centralized way, after approving this with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This regards, in particular, the Izium direction – the cities of Lozova and Barvinkove. This is done to prevent and reduce the casualties among the civilian population in case of the hostilities will be moved to the territory of these settlements,” said Syniehubov.

He also added that the mayor of Kharkiv and the local officials remain in place and are working to sustain the operations of the city and the region.

Previously, the Ministry of Defense had reported that the enemy could be preparing an attack on the Kharkiv direction.

In addition, the invader efforts would be aimed at capturing Luhansk and Donetsk regions.

Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, called upon the residents of these regions to evacuate.

“A decision must be made immediately if the Heads of the Military Administration, for example, in Luhansk and Donets regions, are demanding for people to leave and do everything possible for them to be evacuated, and we do it every day. It must be done because otherwise, people will be under fire, they will be shot, and there is nothing that will be possible to do. And we will not be able to help them because it will be almost impossible to stop the fire. From my experience, I will say this is especially true of the Luhansk and Donetsk regions. And, of course, part of the Kharkiv region. We need to do evacuations if there is such an opportunity. And now there still is an opportunity,” said Vereshchuk.

Pavlo Kyrylenko, Head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, informed that the Russian troops had fired at the place of humanitarian aid distribution in Vuhledar. Two people were killed, and five were injured.

“We are documenting all the crimes committed by the Russian Federation on our soil,” he said.

In the Luhansk region, the invaders had fired artillery on Sievierodonetsk.

“Again, we witness the cynical shelling of the residential areas of Sievierodonetsk. The flames engulfed ten high-rise buildings, a shopping center, and garages with no strategic military facilities. Russian Peace is destroying life in the Luhansk region,” informed Serhiy Haidai, Head of the Luhansk Regional State Administration.

The number of victims of the shelling had been announced.

One person was killed and one got injured during the shelling in Rubizhne. Five people were rescued, but the fate of seven more is still unknown.

From the city of Popasna, the population could not be evacuated due to the Russian shelling.
