A Bundeswehr Air Force plane took a group of wounded Ukrainian soldiers to Germany.

This is stated in the message of the German Air Force.

It is noted that the A310 plane took the wounded Ukrainians from Poland and transported them to the Schönefeld airport in Berlin.

The wounded Ukrainian soldiers will then be taken to hospitals in Berlin and Brandenburg.

The number of the wounded is not specified.

It is specified that this is the 7th operation of such kind.

As of May 19, more than 100 Ukrainians were receiving medical treatment in Germany.

Also, 800 – in clinics of other European Union countries.

Previously, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine promised to clarify on the financial support and payments to the wounded shortly, as well as on payments to the families of fallen soldiers.

As for now, UAH 100,000 is paid to servicemen who, due to injuries (contusions, traumas, injuries) related to the protection of the Motherland, are hospitalized in health care facilities (including foreign ones).

The same concerns the soldiers who are on leave for treatment after a serious injury according to the conclusion (resolution) of the military medical (medical expert) commission.

The families of servicemen killed in the war are paid a one-time cash benefit of UAH 15 million, which is distributed in equal shares to all recipients.
