The building housing the 150th Rifle Division burned down in the village of Persianovskoe in the Rostov region of Russia.
The Russian media reported this.
It is noted that rescue services received a call reporting the fire on December 27.
The flames were noticed by the servicemen of one of the division’s units.
The fire quickly covered the two-story building. The building burned to the ground as a result of the fire.
No official comments on the causes or consequences of the fire were released. No casualties were reported either.
The fire department continues to work at the scene and is investigating the circumstances of the incident.
The Russian media are asking the question: “What was the incident? Arson or negligence.”
The 150th Idritsa-Berlin Order of Kutuzov 2nd Class Motor Rifle Division is a tactical unit of the Ground Forces of the Russian Federation. The unit is stationed in the Rostov region.
It is part of the 8th Guards Combined Arms Army of the Southern Military District. The creation of the division began on December 1, 2016.
The division’s 102nd Motorized Rifle Regiment is located in the village of Persianovskoe.
The regiment was formed on December 1, 2018. On June 30, 2018, it was awarded the honorary title of “Slonim-Pomeranian Red Banner of the Order of Suvorov and Kutuzov”.
During the hostilities in Ukraine in March 2022, the soldiers of the Azov Regiment obtained the documents of the 102nd Motorized Rifle Regiment, along with the name list of the unit’s personnel.
As previously reported, on December 23, a fire broke out in the territory of a military unit in Moscow. The fire occurred at the one-story garage boxes. The burning area covered about 200 square meters.
The fire was extinguished with the help of about 10 fire brigades. The Russians claim that no one was injured in the fire.
