The Belarusian Armed Forces have announced a “sudden check of the response forces” to test their combat readiness.
Militarnyi informs about this with reference to the statement of the Press Service of the Ministry of Defense of Belarus.
The training will include, in particular, the transfer of units and subunits to the selected areas and performing training and combat tasks.
The Ministry of Defense of Belarus explained that the activities would be starting today, May 4.
“The Armed Forces of Belarus have launched a sudden check of the response forces, during which the military units and subunits have to work on being put on alert and transferred to the selected areas, as well as performing combat training assignments,” said the statement.
At the same time, the Ministry of Defense of Belarus emphasizes that such a sudden inspection of the reaction forces “does not pose any threat” either to the European community as a whole or to the neighboring countries in particular.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on the morning of May 4, no signs of the formation of offensive groups were detected in the Volyn and Polissia directions.
Certain units of the Belarusian army are covering the border with Ukraine in the Brest and Gomel regions.
The General Staff also added that one missile division from the 465th Missile Brigade of the Belarusian Armed Forces is moving from the point of permanent deployment to the destination area to check combat readiness.
Previously, Belarus has become a bridgehead for Russia’s military to attack and constantly shell Ukraine.
It was previously reported that the defenders of Ukraine that are of Belarussian origin have received special mortars of Ukrainian production.
The weapons were handed over to the soldiers of the Belarusian Battalion named after Kastuś Kalinoŭski, which was formed in March 2022 to defend Ukraine.
