The Ukrainian servicemen liberated the village of Dibrivne in the Izium direction. A soldier of the 93rd Independent Kholodnyi Yar Mechanized Brigade shared the details of the liberation and told his perspective on the course of the war.
A video featuring the liberated village was released on the Brigade’s Facebook page.
“How did we liberate? Just pushed back them, they were cut off from the supplies… They realized that, specifically in the village, they were cut off from oxygen. They had nowhere to get provisions and ammunition, the evacuation of the wounded was becoming difficult, and they heroically withdrew,” shared the serviceman.
He also emphasized that there are many leftover mines, especially anti-personnel mines, on the territory of the settlement. He noted that the invaders were mining the area even while they were positioned there because they were afraid of the offensive of Ukrainian troops.
Dibrivne is a village in the Barvinkivska community of the Izium district in the Kharkiv region. Before the invasion, 52 people lived here. The settlement is located in the stream flow, which is the beginning of the Kurulka river.
The released video reveals houses that were destroyed by shelling.
Dibrivne regularly appeared in the reports of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine when it came to shelling in the Sloviansk direction since it was targeted together with Dovhenke, Krasnopillia, and Bohorodychne.
A soldier of the 93rd Mechanized Brigade mentioned that the invaders lost a great deal of equipment and personnel during the hostilities here.
“There were a couple of companies in the vicinity, a lot of equipment. 2 to 3 dozen tanks, and approximately the same number of infantry fighting vehicles. There were a lot of people, and they lost huge amounts of everything,” shared a serviceman of the 93rd Mechanized Brigade.
Defense Forces of Ukraine are taking away the surviving equipment and either disassembling it for spare parts or, if it is intact, use it.
The video demonstrates the Russian BMP-3.
“BMP-3 is knocked down. It is not yet clear what will happen to it,” the soldier said.
He also demonstrated the destroyed enemy equipment. One of these wrecked vehicles was probably destroyed with an ATGM, the other with an RPG or a cannon of another armored vehicle.
Enemy positions were hidden among the trees. In close proximity to those positions, there are pieces of cloth from the invader’s uniform.
A soldier of the 93rd Mechanized Brigade noted that the enemy is mining everything, including equipment and positions. It is actively using anti-personnel and anti-tank mines.
As previously reported, yesterday, the Ukrainian military liberated Dmytrivka, another village in the Izium district of the Kharkiv Region, as well as the village of Mazanivka in the Donetsk Region.
