During the counteroffensive in the Kherson region, the Defense Forces liberated five settlements of the Beryslav district from the invaders.

The Operational Command “South” reported this.

Ukrainian defenders liberated the settlements of Novovasylivka, Novohryhorivka, Nova Kamyanka, Tryfonivka, and Chervone.

“The Armed Forces of Ukraine managed to consolidate the success of the liberation of Novovasylivka, Novohryhorivka, Nova Kamyanka, Tryfonivka, and Chervone in the Beryslav district of the Kherson region,” said the Operational Command “South” in a statement.

The Command’s spokesman also mentioned that the stabilization activities to restore social and critical infrastructure are ongoing in the liberated villages.

The Defense Forces continue striking at the enemy’s reserves, disrupting its control system and logistics.

The invasion forces units focus their primary efforts on maintaining the captured territories and restraining the offensive actions of the Ukrainian military.

In the first days of October, the Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated 8 settlements in the Kherson region.

The following villages returned to the control of the Ukrainian authorities: Lyubimivka, Khreschenivka, Zolota Balka, Beliayivka, Ukrayinka, Velyka and Mala Oleksandrivka, and Davydiv Brid.

Operational Command “South” then reported that Ukrainian villages were liberated as a result of a “carefully planned and brilliantly implemented military operation.”

On October 5, President Volodymyr Zelensky shared the liberation of three more villages.

“Only during today [October 5 – ed.] in the Kherson region, settlements such as Novovoskresenske, Novohryhorivka, and Petropavlivka were liberated and stabilized. The operation continues,” Zelensky said.
