Soldiers of the 3rd Assault Brigade and 25th Airborne Brigade forced out the Russian invaders who broke through to the outskirts of Orlivka in the Avdiyivka sector.

Oleksandr Syrskyi, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, reported on this.

The Commander-in-Chief noted that during the work, some commanders had miscalculations in their command of the situation and assessment of the enemy, which directly affected the stability of defense in certain areas.

However, the command improved the situation on the ground and allocated additional ammunition and material resources, as well as the necessary reserves.

“I would like to recognize the courage, resilience, and heroism of the soldiers of the 3rd Assault Brigade and 25th Airborne Brigade. With their brave and decisive actions, they forced out the enemy who broke through to the outskirts of Orlivka,” Syrskyi wrote.

Orlivka plays an important role in the defense and countering the Russian offensive after the loss of Avdiyivka. This settlement is a key point in the defense line that runs through Tonenke, Semenivka, Orlivka, and Berdychi.

Near these settlements, there are heights and a cascade of reservoirs that should provide the Ukrainian military with an advantage over the enemy.

Soldiers of the 25th Airborne Brigade published footage of the shelling and destruction of a Russian armored convoy moving towards Orlivka and stopped (here) one kilometer away.

An enemy tank and a BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicle were destroyed as a result of successful actions.

500 meters south of this road, soldiers of the 3rd Assault Brigade hit an infantry group moving in the same direction.

They struck a large area where the invaders were located using FPV drones with airburst munition and shrapnel warheads.

On February 28, soldiers of the 3rd Assault Brigade forced the invaders out of the southeastern outskirts of Krasnohorivka, Donetsk region.
