The 10th Mountain Assault Brigade “Edelweiss” has received a batch of Darts attack drones from volunteers.
The drones have been put into service with the Kruk UAV platoon of the 109th Mountain Assault Infantry Battalion.
Toronto Television raised more than UAH 2 million to meet the needs of this unit.
The Serhiy Prytula Charity Foundation used these funds to purchase and transfer 56 Darts attack drones capable of flying 40-50 km behind enemy lines.
The kit also includes:
“We thank the Defense Forces for their service and believe that these UAVs will be useful in destroying the enemy,” the Foundation emphasized.
These loitering munitions by the Ukrainian manufacturer travel at a speed of 160 km per hour and can be equipped with a warhead weighing 4 kilograms.
The fuselage of the Darts drone can withstand numerous hits from small arms.
In addition, this aerodynamic design allows for more efficient use of battery power and longer range.
According to open sources, the Darts drone has a wingspan of 1.9 meters and a fuselage length of 1.5 meters. The drone is equipped with a single engine.
In June, the 92nd Separate Assault Brigade and the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade received such drones from the Serhiy Prytula Charity Foundation.
The drones were purchased with funds donated by the mother of a fallen officer from the Donetsk region, known by the call sign “Raz-Dva.”
