The Taiwanese Armed Forces have begun mastering the use of FPV drones to counter ground and surface targets.
The Taiwan Ministry of National Defense published the video of the exercise.
To date, the Taiwanese Armed Forces have begun massively introducing FPV drones into the military structure of the ground forces to ensure an advantage on the future battlefield.
The development of the new type of weapon begins in military units, where soldiers are trained to firmware drones, install warheads, and repair them.
Taiwan is closely monitoring the battlefield in Ukraine, where FPV drones have become one of the most common means of defeating many enemy targets.
Currently, the military is just beginning to master and train for the new type of weapon, which is planned to be significantly expanded among military units.
Despite this, Taiwan has some problems with the production of such drones, as some components come to the island from mainland China.
The introduction of modern weapons in large numbers is very important for Taiwan, as the country is preparing for a full-scale war where the island state will not have an advantage.
In addition to FPV drones, the Taiwanese Armed Forces are also purchasing British strike and reconnaissance drones.
Militarnyi previously reported that the Taiwan Ministry of National Defense signed a contract with Flyby Technology to purchase Jackal drones.
According to the agreement, the company will provide the Taiwanese Armed Forces with 160 Jackal drones, which can be used for both reconnaissance and the destruction of ground and air targets.
The Jackal UAV uses an advanced propeller system for vertical and horizontal flight at high speed. Due to its sophisticated design, it is possible to install a multi-purpose LMM Martket missile to destroy ground and air targets.
