Spartan-SUT armored vehicles manufactured by the Emirati company Streit Group have been spotted in the Russian National Guard.
This was reported by the Telegram channel Vodohrai.
The published photos show three armored vehicles equipped with anti-drone slat armor.
The first information about the appearance of Spartan-SUTs in Russia appeared in the fall of 2024, when the Russian Telegram channel Military Informant published photos of them in the manufacturer’s characteristic desert camouflage.
At the same time, other Streit Group vehicles similar to the Cobra and Cougar models could be seen in the photo.
The SPARTAN-SUT is a STANAG II armored personnel carrier designed for peacekeeping operations, convoy escort, urban patrols, or border protection.
The vehicle has a modular design. The body is made of high-strength ballistic steel of CEN 1522 standard with increased chassis rigidity.
In the rear, there is a cargo compartment that allows for quick loading and unloading of equipment, ensuring high mobility and efficiency in dynamic combat conditions.
It is unknown how this equipment got to Russia. Most likely, it was delivered through third countries without the official knowledge of the manufacturer.
At the same time, given that Streit is now run by Russian Herman Gutorov, the direct agreement with the purchase through third parties cannot be ruled out.
It should be noted that Streit armored vehicles, including Spartan, Cobra, and Cougar, continue to be used by the Ukrainian Defense Forces, although they have been almost completely replaced by domestic and Western products.
