Soldiers of the Azov SOF Regiment unit captured five enemy soldiers.

This was announced by Andrii Biletskyi, First Commander of the Azov Regiment.

“Another five prisoners were detained by the Azov Regiment soldiers. Those (detainees – ed.) include a drug addict, an officer, an Ossetian, a “descendant of Cossacks” from the Kuban, and a mobilized “DPR” citizen,” he wrote.

He also noted that the detained invaders are unharmed.

“Pay attention: these beasts are alive, not beaten, not harmed. They will eat well and sleep well, they will be treated by Ukrainian doctors while they await the exchange. This is the serviceman’s code of honor, mandatory for the soldiers of the Azov Regiment – no matter what kind of scumbag you have to deal with, treat a prisoner with dignity. We do not violate these rules even after the mass murder of our brother in arms in Olenivka,” Biletskyi emphasized.

As previously reported, on August 3, the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported additional circumstances of the deliberate murder of the Ukrainian prisoners of war in Olenivka in the temporarily occupied territory of the Donetsk region.

Intelligence noted that the invaders had systematically interrogated prisoners and used torture. The main goal was to obtain a confession from the military for crimes against the civilian population and to condemn the actions of the Ukrainian authorities. According to the Defense Intelligence, they failed to achieve this, and in order to hide the illegal actions, the invaders and mercenaries of the “Wagner” PMC staged an explosion.

In addition, U.S. intelligence officials have determined that Russia is looking to plant false evidence to make it appear that Ukrainian forces were responsible for the July 29 attack on the Olenivka Prison.

Also, on August 4, the pro-government Russian media stated that the Donetsk penalty prison №124 was struck.
